Oeno Maris Nights: Art + Wine (and Oysters!) | 6th Mar | 7-10pm

£0.00

Inspired by a shared love of painting and wine, ART + WINE is a joint showcase of recent work by Kate Morrison and William Watson-West combining both passions and highlighting the importance of connecting creativity together.

At this event, we have paired Kate and William’s recent artworks to a selection of Oeno Maris’ wines taking into consideration each artists’ process, the sentiments and intentions of each painting, along with the sense of season, impact of colour, taste profile and the terroir of the wines.

On this evening, we will have the selection of wines by the glass for sipping as you ponder their artwork … and it wouldn’t be Oeno Maris without a few oysters on the side! 3 oysters for a £10er on the evening.

Guaranteed to be a fun, immersive night out, this event is free to attend. No tickets necessary, but registering your interest below will help Will & Kate keep in touch and better prepare for your arrival. See you there!

About Kate @katemorrisonstudio

Kate Morrison a multidisciplinary artist from Cumbria, currently based in London, working with painting and textiles. Graduating with first-class honours in Textiles in Practice from Manchester School of Art in 2016, Kate's creative practice is demonstrated through expressive abstract painting that responds to her sense of journey and place.

Committing to documenting a sense of place Kate's work was recently showcased at Chapel House in Penzance (2023) and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall (2024). Her wearable art silk scarf collection was selected for the BTCF Award and exhibited at Platform Gallery Clitheroe (2021). In 2023, Kate received the Homes & Gardens' Best Woven Fabric award for her work on a high-end fabric collection. She has also collaborated with renowned textile industry names, including Missoni HOME in Italy and London-based interior ateliers like Beaumont & Fletcher and Nina Campbell Designs.

Kate's work captures and highlight overlooked details in rural, urban, and coastal landscapes, focusing on Indigenous materials and topography. Through abstract visual stories using acrylic, oil bars, collage, pigment, and sheer layers, she emphasises fleeting moments and challenge how our modern world overlooks what was once celebrated. Her work bridges the familiar with fresh perspectives, fostering a dialogue between the audience and the artwork across past, present, and future.
